Since its founding in 1914, Camp Fitch has maintained the highest leadership standards. The staff has consistently been selected on the basis of good character as well as skills. The YMCA leadership background of the camp staff, along with their camp experience, is of unique value to campers.

The executive director, William L. Lyder, has held his position since 1966. Previously, he was director of boys camp for two seasons and in charge of Hi-Y training camp for four years. A graduate of Youngstown State University, he joined the YMCA staff as an associate youth director in January 1964. His current activities include: Board member, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Columbiana County; Board member, YMCA International Program Center of Northern Ohio; former Board Member and past President of the Ohio Section of the American Camping Association.

Camp Fitch is located on Lake Erie between Conneaut, Ohio and Erie, PA.  We are 1 1/2 hours from Youngstown, Cleveland, and Buffalo, and 2 1/2 hours from Pittsburgh. Transportation to and from camp is the responsibility of campers. We do offer free pickup for bus and plane arrivals in Erie, PA and Cleveland Hopkins in Cleveland, Ohio. Driving Follow I - 90 to exit 6 (old exit 2) in PA., then North on Rte 215 to the campsite. Follow signs into camp!
